Couples Counselling in Bournemouth and Online

When the same patterns keep repeating

Most couples experience difficult periods. Sometimes communication breaks down. Sometimes the same arguments keep happening. Sometimes you simply begin to feel like you're living alongside each other rather than connected to each other.

You may care deeply about your partner but feel stuck in patterns that neither of you seems able to change.

Couples counselling provides a space for both of you to slow things down and understand what is happening between you.

How can I help?

I work with couples experiencing:

  • Communication difficulties
  • Repeated arguments
  • Conflict and resentment
  • Feeling unheard or misunderstood
  • Emotional disconnection
  • Changes in the relationship
  • Differences in needs or expectations
  • Neurodiversity within the relationship

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) alongside my wider integrative approach.

Rather than trying to decide who is right or wrong, we'll explore the patterns you're caught in, what is important to each of you and how you can respond differently when difficult emotions arise.

The aim isn't a perfect relationship.

It's a relationship where you can understand each other better, communicate more openly and move towards what matters to you both.

Neurodiverse couples

Where one or both partners are autistic, have ADHD or identify as neurodivergent, differences in communication, processing, emotional regulation and expectations can sometimes create additional challenges.

These differences don't have to define the relationship.

We can explore how each of you experiences the relationship and work towards greater understanding and connection.
